The Independent Ginger (Batch) The Independent Ginger (Batch) Serves 60 Jonathan Pogash, The Cocktail Guru • 1 bottle rum, gin or vodka (optional if making non-alcoholic batch) • 1/2 bottle elderflower liqueur (optional if making non-alcoholic batch) • 2 jars The Perfect Purée Ginger Sour blend, thawed • 1 jar The Perfect Purée Blood Orange Concentrate, thawed • 1/2 gal ruby red grapefruit juice (unsweetened) • 1 liter lime-flavored seltzer Method: 1. Add ingredients to punch bowl. Before serving, add plenty of ice to punch bowl and stir well to chill and dilute. Ladle out into cups with ice for individual servings. Garnish bowl with floating lime wheels and candied ginger inside the punch bowl and freshly grated nutmeg. For each drink, garnish with half lime wheel and freshly grated nutmeg. Method for spiking individual drinks from non-alcoholic batch: 1. If making the non-alcoholic batch, to spike individual drinks as desired, add 1 oz. rum, gin or vodka and 1/2 oz. elderflower liqueur to each individual serving.
