Spiced Pear Daiquiri

    • 1 1/2 oz. rhum agricole
    • 1 oz. The Perfect Purée Pear Puree, thawed
    • 1/2 oz. spiced simple syrup
    • 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
    • Ice cubes
    • Pear slice, lemon twist or candied lemon peel, for garnish
For the Spiced Simple Syrup:
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups water
    • 1/4 cup allspice berries
    • 1/4 cup cloves
    • 2 cinnamon sticks
    • 3 nutmegs
    • 1 tbsp. whole black peppercorns
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Method for the Spiced Simple Syrup:
1. Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a saucepan over low heat.
2. Bring to a boil and turn off heat.
3. Strain into a clean glass container and add vanilla extract, then shake to combine.
4. Keeps three weeks refrigerated.
Method for the Cocktail:
Shake all ingredients and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish and serve.
Tip:
This drink pairs well with roasted turkey with sage dressing, roasted duck or salty cheeses.
